Autism and TV

There is an interesting article in Slate about a new study that shows a possible link between autism and watching television. You can read it here. Discuss amongst yourselves.
Update: I had emailed this article to my sister, Niki, my brother-in-law, Young and Lee right before I posted it here. This is the email exchange that followed:
Young said something about the evils of TV, etc.
Lee: Me watch TV much time when young. Me like TV. TV good. Now me big-time lawyer. Lawyer good. Like TV. TV ... goooooood. TV mother, father, secret lover.
Young: It appears that childhood tv exposure is also linked to neanderthalism.

oh my god. how is anyone supposed to raise a kid these days? is it just me or does everything scare the living crap out of you guys too? seriously.

incidentally, i heard the creator of the baby einstein dvds off'd himself when he read the study. although it was through sexual asphyxiation. on second thought, probably unrelated.

i think that staring at blinking numbers for 8 hours a day may not be doing me a lot of good either.

Everyone should watch Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. It's the feel-good series of our time. Will make life feel so secure for you and your children. Good times.
