US of A, here come the Alexanderpools!
In what many are calling "the best freaking day ever", the Alexanderpools are boarding a plane bound for WasserHarrises, Vanderpools and Chalexandropouloses aplenty. Granted, the plane is leaving more than two hours earlier than initially scheduled (thankfully, Pegs is a bit uptight when it comes to checking our itinerary, so I was awakened at 7:30 this morning to the delightful sound of Pegs screaming "Holy Freaking Jesus Christ!" at the top of her lungs). Perhaps changing flight times with no warning is part of Delta's master plan to win back customer loyalty as it works its way out of bankruptcy and fights off takeover bids. Sounds about on par with how they've run the company so far.In any case, with just under three hours left to shower and get dressed (our bags having been packed yesterday by the lovely Mrs. Alexanderpool), I'm pretty confident that we'll be able to make it to the airport on time, but you'd never know it to see the way Pegs is wigging out right now. If it weren't so scary, I'd be bent over laughing, but my survival instincts strongly suggest that laughing at this point would be a life-threatening move. Maybe I could slip her one of those anti-anxiety pills the doctor gave her for the flight a little early...like now.
Anyway, the point is that we're heading out soon(er than expected), and we're looking forward to some good friends, good times and good eats back in the States. US of A, here we come!
