Christmas in Lille

We had a wonderful three-day Christmas celebration this past weekend with the family in Lille. The festivities started off with lunch Saturday afternoon at Les Caleches. After lunch, we hung out with Mamie and Bon Papa for a few hours, catching up on what has been going on since the last time we saw them. Then, Saturday night we headed in to Lille for dinner with Ingrid, Benoit and Eva, the newest addition to their family. She is absolutely gorgeous and so big already. Ingrid and Benoit thank all the Vanderpools for the beautiful gift. They were very touched.

On Sunday we all gathered at Patricia's to eat, drink, open presents, and then eat and drink some more. Monday was more of the same, minus the presents, at Les Caleches, where we were treated to a scrumptious Christmas lunch by Mamie and Bon Papa. All in all, we had a wonderful time in Lille.
Monday night Lee and I came home in the early evening, and over a romantic dinner of pizza, pringles, gummy bears and diet coke, exchanged Christmas presents. We then called our respective families to wish them a merry Christmas, and got to hear The Monkey wish us a merry Christmas in both Greek and English. After which, we headed off to sleep where we expanded on our ingenious plan to kidnap The Monkey.
