US Summer Vacation Part IV
Derek and Dad picked us up in San Francisco for the final part of our US trip and immediately took our tired asses to Pacifica, a little oceanside town south of San Francisco. Mom and Dad had rented a house with a lovely ocean view (see at right) big enough to accommodate all of the Vandersibs, my grandmother, the Vanderparents and four members of the French family who were in town for the wedding. The house was incredibly spacious and remarkably well-located, although the layout was about as logical as an M.C. Escher print. The week leading up to the wedding was spent taking walks along the beach, playing games, trading stories and making music. A couple of nights before the wedding we went in to San Francisco for Derek's bachelor party, and the night before the wedding we hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner with various members of Ariel's family, our extended family and several of Dariel's friends. We'll put up a separate post later about the wedding itself, but in the meantime here are a few videos of me, Pegs, Derek and Damien bowling at lovely Sea Bowl Lanes.

I appreciate you not putting up any actual photos of me from the bachelor's party, though the white trash puking is fairly accurate, from what people tell me. Vodka. Ugh.
Yeah, that was a pretty good shot that Lee made. Although I still think he should have shown the one when he was at the bar in the bowling alley, throwing a bowling ball halfway across the alley while drinking a beer and getting the 7 10 split. Yeah, that got a few cheers
