Greece is ruined

Odds are that if you were to use a shovel anywhere along the Greek coast you'd come across something of historical interest. As fascinating as that prospect might be to archaeologists, I'm sure that for a number of Greeks it can be a real pain in the golo to have to alert the authorities every time you stumble across pottery shards in your garden or the remnants of an ancient city where you wanted to put your swimming pool. That's the very situation that a water park owner near Filiatra found himself in not too long ago, but rather than bring an important historical find to anyone's attention, he just continued to dig it up to make room for his water slide. Now portions of the site have been irreperably destroyed, the owner may be facing civil and criminal charges and the water park may need to be expropriated. Worst of all, now Sofia, Alex and Eva won't have a chance to play in the wave pool. Stupid ancient civilizations.
