Chateau of the Week
At the risk of giving away the price to those of you who know the Paris real estate market, this week's entry can be yours for less than the price of a 140 square meter (roughly 1500 square foot) apartment in the 6th arrondissement. Just 30 minutes from the Atlantic coast and an hour outside of Bordeaux, this sweet little number was built in the 1800s and recently restored. The castle itself is 980 square meters (over 10,000 square feet), but I think that includes the 100 square meter attic and 350 square meters of adjacent buildings where you can keep your in-laws. The chateau boasts nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms, eleven fireplaces with marble chimneys, 4 hectares of grounds, library, study, wine cellar and every other room that you would find on the board in a game of Clue, not to mention Mr. Body's festering corpse in the Drawing Room. It was Col. Mustard, I swear.Last week Pegs won a lifetime supply of tar-flavored Chinese chewing gum for coming closest. Anyone care to guess the asking price for this baby?

1.25 million euros
1.5 million euros
Ummm, yes. From now on that's how we play. Rita guessed 1.85 million and Claire guessed 1.0 million, by the way.
Is this Kathryn of "Eric and Kathryn" fame, or Kathryn of the "Ariel's mom" persuasion?
Either way, hi!
I'm guessing that it's Kathryn A. Kallison Schwesinger (a.k.a. Little Red), since she signed in using the Blogger name KKS & EHS.
