Brittany

Most people associate the name Brittany with someone who lives in a trailer and works part-time as a hairdresser down at the Cut 'N Blow Salon, but some of you may also know it as the northwestern region of France that was long the subject of dispute between France and England. This weekend we took a little trip up north to get to know the region a little better, drink lots of cold cider, and eat way too many buckwheat crepes. The Mont was as spectacular as ever, rising out of the bay like something out of a Tolkien novel, and the countryside and coastline were gorgeous. The weather was also surprisingly pleasant, with a strong sun and ocean breeze keeping us cool and invigorated. Here are a few select shots from our outing. Side Note: the statue above depicts St. Michael slaying the dragon; a golden version of the same sculpture sits atop the spire of the abbey. I'm not saying that St. Michael is a total wuss, but that dragon is awfully freaking puny. I've seen scarier shit floating in the toilets at highway rest stops.
