New album from Radiohead!!!

In case you missed it, Radiohead have announced that they will be releasing their new album on 10 October (i.e., next Wednesday). The record will be called In Rainbows, but just because it has a crappy title doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to suck. Apparently Radiohead have decided to put out the album without backing by a major label, and they will be making it available for initial purchases exclusively through the internet. How much is it, you might ask? Whatever you feel like paying. No really, it's up to you. Of course, that's just for the ten songs on the first CD. For true Radiohead fans, a double CD and vinyl set will also be available before Christmas, complete with artwork and other miscellaneous goodies, for the completely reasonable price of $80. Alternatively, you could just download the first ten songs on 10 October and then wait for the other songs to hit the internet, but that would be cheating and cheaters never win (except in politics and commodities trading).

I can't tell which delivery I'm more excited about: the new Radiohead album or The Hybrid. It's still too close to call, but unless The Hybrid can sing the lyrics to "Fake Plastic Trees" and play the guitar solo in "Just" within five minutes of leaving the womb, it's looking like Radiohead might walk away with this one.
