Videos from Disney World

Sofia and I took a little getaway last week to Disney World to take a break from real life for a while. Poor Sofia was up at 4:45 on Monday morning to take the flight to Florida, and with the exception of a minor meltdown at the Orlando airport, she was amazingly well-behaved and composed. That's not to say that she wasn't a lot more enthusiastic and energized the days after we arrived, but even on the first day she stayed up past 10:00 to watch the fireworks and have cornbread and ice cream for dinner. Sofia's favorite rides were, in no particular order, the Buzz Lightyear cadet training adventure, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and the Twin Towers of Terror. Are you picking up on a theme here? Sofia enjoys thrill rides. A lot. She insisted on going on the Twin Towers of Terror, despite my assurances that it would be scary and involve a lot of going up and down real fast in a dark elevator shaft. It was then that I knew that Sofia is actually a reincarnated zen master, because she looked at me reassuringly and said, "It's ok, Daddy; if I get scared, I'll just laugh." And that, ladies and gentlemen, is quite possibly the most important lesson that anyone could learn at Disney World. Here are some videos for your viewing pleasure.

I really wanted to hear Sofia give her old half-hearted "weeeeeeeee" at the end of the Splash Mountain ride.

Thanks for posting all these videos, Lee!
